Short bio – Luis Beneduzi:

Luís Fernando Beneduzi is Full Professor of Latin American History. Since 2020 he is Chair of History and Institutions of the Americas at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. He has previously taught at The Johns Hopkins University, at the University of Bologna, and at the Lutheran University of Brazil. His main research interests cover international migration, the relations between Europe and Latin America, especially Italy and Brazil, and the Nation-State building process in Latin America.

Breve bio – Luis Beneduzi:

Luis Fernando Beneduzi es Profesor Catedrático de Historia de América. Desde 2020 es titular de la Cátedra de Historia e Instituciones de las Américas en la Universidad Ca’ Foscari de Venecia. Anteriormente trabajó en la Johns Hopkins University, la Universidad de Bolonia y la Universidad Luterana de Brasil. Su investigación cubre las migraciones internacionales, las relaciones entre Europa y América Latina, especialmente Italia y Brasil, y el proceso de construcción de la Nación y del Estado en Latinoamérica.
